And Did Anybody Catch Munch In The Last Episode Of The Wire?

In my previous post, I forgot to mention a classic inside joke that aired on Homicide. An episode opens with Bayliss and Pembleton out on the streets in a Cavalier. Pembleton is driving, while Bayliss reads a book in the passenger seat. Pembleton asks Bayliss what he's reading, Bayliss tells him The Corner and that the authors spent a year in a known drug neighborhood. Pembleton wonders aloud if a writer would ever want to spend a year with homicide detectives and write a book about it. Bayliss replies sarcastically: "Yeah, right."

I do remember seeing Munch, but I can't remember where. In a bar? We could spend several beers talking about the inside jokes in Homicide and the Wire. Like John Waters playing a bartender (but I can't remember which series!), and a prisoner being transferred from NYPD custody to BPD. Also, the other night after watching an episode of Homicide, I flipped over to NBC. A Law & Order SVU was wrapping up, and Munch asks another detective, "you interested in buying a bar?"

On The Wire, Munch was in the cop bar lecturing the bartender on what it means to be a regular (or something like that.)

John Waters was a bartender on Homicide. Bolander was at a bar drinking. Yeah and that scene he was in with Logan from Law & Order and Pembleton was fun.

Gary D'Addario, real life Baltimore Homicide captain portrayed in Simon's "Homicide..." book, is also in the last episode. He plays the grand jury prosecutor who is leaking sealed documents for cash to pay off gambling debts.

I do remember seeing Munch in the last episode, too.
