why my creative nonfiction sucks rules

because it’s (almost) free.
because I find rewriting more fun than creating.
because I celebrate the individual, and ninety-nine percent of the time I am that individual.
because chicks dig it.
because I’ve learned to live with what I can’t rise above, but continue to insist on change in my notebook.
because I remember everything.
because self-loathing breeds self-deprecation, which is fun.
because most of the time I’m pretty fucking humble.
